My Approach
Treatment starts with understanding who you are and what you're looking for — not just the symptom that brought you in. Two people with the same complaint don't always need the same thing, and the same person can need something different at different stages, so I take the time before treatment to understand your health, your daily life, and what matters most to you right now.
My assessment draws on classical Chinese medicine theory, including foundational texts such as the Huangdi Neijing (黄帝内经), to understand the pattern in front of me. How that becomes a treatment plan follows an evidence-informed approach: matching what I choose — whether acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, heat therapy or lifestyle advice — to your situation, the relevant evidence, and safety. Evidence has its limits and keeps developing, so I keep reviewing my own judgement rather than treating any one method as a given.
Each session is something I can look back on — what I assessed, what I chose and why, what was actually done, and how you responded — mainly so we can decide together whether to continue, adjust, or try something else. Your own observations between visits are part of that picture too.
